Meet the Managers
Ron and Sherry Deese, River Oaks Management Team
Ron and Sherry have worked in property management (as a team) since 2004 when Hurricane Charley blew through South Florida. The couple were dating at the time BUT were thrown together professionally when Ron needed help at the motel he was managing. The motel served as a refuge for those displaced by the hurricane and the service workers who joined the region’s recovery efforts. They have been working together ever since.
They found River Oaks in 2008 after a work related injury forced them out of another job and instantly fell in love with River Oaks. They bought a home here on the spot with the hope of semi-retirement.
But the economy and their financial situation would not allow it.
In August 2009, they left their happy abode to take another management position in the north end of Hillsborough County but came running home when this position came open and was offered to them.
They took over management of River Oaks officially on February 1, 2010 and have had no regrets.
Ron and Sherry both feel that this isn’t any old job. It’s a perfect fit for them as this is where they wanted to be in the first place. They generally care about the place and since they still hope to retire here, some day, their goal is to make River Oaks the best little park it can be.
